Scottie Scheffler's Behavior With Son After PGA Championship Win Turns Heads

Scottie Scheffler hoisted the Wanamaker Trophy for the first time in his career after a dominant win at the 2025 PGA Championship in North Carolina on May 18.

After entering the final round with a three-stroke lead over Alex Noren, Scheffler finished the day with an even-par 71 for a five-stroke victory over Bryson DeChambeau, Davis Riley and Harris English.

The No. 1 ranked golfer in the world, who won the Masters in 2022 and 2022, is now halfway toward reaching a career grand slam. Helping celebrate his victory at Quail Hollow on Sunday, his wife Meredith, their son, Bennett, 1, and the golfer's parents, Scott and Diane Scheffler.

Scheffler's father told the 28-year-old golfer, "Words can't described what we just watched. I'm so proud of you. Well done."

After a long embrace with his wife, Scheffler grabbed Bennett from Meredith's arms and brought their son with him to sign his scorecard. However, Scheffler quickly realized that might've not been the best move.

Looking around, Scheffler ultimately chose to place Bennett on the floor before sitting next to Alex Noren, who couldn't help but laugh at his behavior.

One viewer posted, "Might’ve been the best part of the tournament." One fan commented, "I was cackling at this." PGA Tour host Stephen Watson added, "The most relatable I’ve ever felt to World No. 1  🤣."

Another fan posted, "Classic Dad Mode: Using random clothing and paper in your pockets to entertain your kid when you need to give momma a break! Two wins in a day for Scottie!"

Scheffler told CBS after winning, "I'm just really proud of the way we fought this week. I was battling my swing the first couple days. I didn't have as good of a prep week as I hoped to. It was a battle out there for four days. … It was a real team effort this week."
