Everton are still trying to bring in a new striker this month, but it looks like one of their targets has come up on Sean Dyche’s radar too.

They have not made any signings so far this month.

Even though a forward is needed, the Toffees are not expected to spend much. Loans seem more realistic at this stage.

Still, they are keeping their options open and checking out what might be possible.

This week, reports came out that Everton had asked about Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor. He has not been getting much playing time and could be available.

But if Everton do decide to make a move, they will not be the only club interested in him.

According to Sky Sports’ Keith Downie, interest in Isidor has been picking up as the transfer window nears its close.

He mentioned that Everton are interested, and so are Nottingham Forest under Sean Dyche.

Downie posted on X: “Everton and Nottingham Forest have enquired on Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor. No concrete approach has been made, as both clubs are waiting and/or considering other targets.

“The Frenchman also has interest in him from multiple clubs overseas, and is one to watch this window.

“25-year-old Isidor’s contract is up in 2028 but he has fallen down the striking pecking order at Sunderland.

“Isidor has scored 4 Premier League goals this season, but hasn’t netted since October.”

Sean Dyche’s need for goals could drive move for Wilson Isidor

It remains to be seen if either club will decide to make a formal offer for Isidor.

Earlier this week, there were reports suggesting that Everton were not actively moving forward with a pursuit of Isidor, which could give Dyche and Forest an opening.

Dyche has a clear need for more firepower this month. Only Wolves have scored fewer goals than Forest this season, and adding another option up front could be crucial in the battle against relegation.

Forest are just five points above the drop zone at the moment, making every decision in the transfer window even more important.
