A group of 16 baseball teams that arrived in Hoover, Alabama this week with dreams of a conference championship is now down to four.
The 2025 SEC Tournament continues Saturday at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium with a pair of semifinal games that will determine the league’s title game matchup Sunday.
In the first matchup, in-state foes Tennessee and Vanderbilt will square off, which will be followed by Ole Miss' game against LSU.
This season, the SEC has only bolstered its claim as best conference in college baseball. The league, which is home to the past five NCAA champions, accounted for six of the top 10 teams in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, including three of the top four.
The winner of the SEC Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA baseball tournament, though for all of the four remaining teams, they’re already safely in the 64-team field and are simply playing at this point for seeding and the chance to host a regional.

Tennessee, the reigning NCAA champion and the tournament's No. 8 seed, enters the semifinals riding high, having knocked off regular-season champion and No. 1 seed Texas 7-5 in 12 innings in the quarterfinals Thursday. After a two-day break, the Vols will take on No. 4 seed Vanderbilt, which had little trouble with No. 12 seed Oklahoma in the quarterfinals Thursday.
Saturday will mark the fourth meeting of the season between the teams, with Vanderbilt taking two of three from Tennessee in Knoxville earlier this month.
In the other semifinal, No. 7 seed Ole Miss will square off against No. 3 seed LSU, which jumped out to a 4-0 lead over Texas A&M before holding on for a 4-3 victory over the Aggies. The Rebels, meanwhile, upended No. 2 seed Arkansas 5-2 to advance to the semifinals.
