Social media reacts as NY Giants blow 19-point 4th-quarter lead in loss to Broncos
You couldn't make this one up.
The Giants were handling the Broncos in Denver all afternoon long on Sunday, and were coasting to victory when all of a sudden, everything fell apart on them.
Holding a 26-8 lead with just over five minutes to go, they allowed the Broncos to come all the way back and lost, 33-32, on a 39-yard field goal as time expired.
The field goal might have only tied the game had Giants kicker Jude McAtamney made an extra point just moments before, but he missed the second of two extra-point attempts on the day, which left the door open for heartbreak.

I am utterly amazed and how the @Giants find ways to lose games. Blow a 19-0 lead. Defense surrenders 33 points in THE 4TH QT. And their kicker — his only job — misses two xtra points. @Giants lose to @Broncos 33-32.#Disgraceful!— Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) October 19, 2025

Broncos’ 33 fourth-quarter points were the most points in the fourth quarter by any team that had been shut out in the first three quarters in NFL history. pic.twitter.com/Q0lw8CUEXv— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 19, 2025
ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND TWO CONSECUTIVE TEAMS UP BY 18 OR MORE WITH 6 MINS LEFT IN THE GAME HAVE WON EXCEPT THE GIANTS.

26-8 with 5 minutes left and lose is crazy work. #Giants#Broncos#NFL— JJ Salazar (@salazarszn) October 20, 2025
That was the worst set of play calling and game management in the 4th quarter for the NY Giants.
Defense let up 33 points in the 4th.
Non-existent 2-minute offense. No first down and stop the clock mindset.
