Standout football quarterback Jaivin Peel re-enrolls at Lincoln Park

A familiar face returned to Midland as former Western Beaver quarterback Jaivin Peel transferred from The Kiski School back to Lincoln Park during his junior year.

The WPIAL Board of Directors will hold an eligibility hearing for the junior gunslinger on Monday, December 8.

Lincoln Park athletic director Mike Bariski confirmed with the Beaver County Times that Peel re-enrolled at the Midland-based charter school during the middle of the 2025 football season around the fourth or fifth game of the season.

Bariski added that Peel is planning on playing football for Western Beaver during his senior season in 2026. On the board of directors meeting agenda, Peel has a postseason eligibility restriction for football, but can appeal.

During his freshman and sophomore years at Western Beaver, Peel was one of the top quarterbacks in the WPIAL, breaking the league’s freshman passing record, throwing for over 2,800 yards with 33 touchdowns.

As a sophomore, Peel threw for 2,542 yards, completed 59 percent of his passes for 29 touchdowns. He also garnered first-team all-conference honors.

This past season, Western Beaver was led by freshman standout Amari Marshall, who burst onto the scene, completing 57 percent of his passes for 767 yards and five touchdowns. He was also a mobile threat, rushing for 1,235 yards and 11 scores, averaging 12 yards per attempt.

It will be interesting to see what role Peel will play for the program in 2026 with the emergence of Marshall during his freshman season.

This is the second time that Peel has transferred back to Lincoln Park, first transferring back to the school in July 2024 after less than a month enrolled at Central Catholic

Peel left Lincoln Park following his sophomore year, transferring to The Kiski School for his junior season.

Western Beaver had a successful season, winning the Midwestern conference championship outright for the first time since 2007 and reached the WPIAL semifinals before falling to Steel Valley to finish the season with a 10-2 record.
