Steelers’ Aaron Rodgers Addresses Future Following Playoff Loss To Texans
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers wasn’t ready to make any significant decisions following Monday night’s wild-card loss to the Houston Texans.
Rodgers was asked whether he’d made a decision regarding his future in the immediate aftermath of the game, and the answer was a resounding no.
“No, I’m not going to make any emotional decisions,” Rodgers said, per team-provided video. “I’m disappointed, obviously — it was a fun year, a lot of adversity but a lot of fun. It’s been a great year overall in my life and this is a really good part of that — coming here and being part of this team. It’s disappointing to be sitting here with the season over.”
Rodgers struggled to find consistency against one of the best defenses in the NFL, finishing just 17-for-33 passing while being sacked four times and turning it over twice in the 30-6 loss at Acrisure Stadium.
The Steelers ultimately pulled the 42-year old late in the fourth quarter 30-year old Mason Rudolph, with his potential final pass attempt being intercepted and returned for a touchdown by Texans defensive back Calen Bullock.
