Steelers training camp: Locks to make the final 53-man roster on defense

On Wednesday, players will report to the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp, with the first practice scheduled for Thursday. The Steelers finished 2024 with a 10-7 record but failed once again to win a playoff game. This prompted the coaching staff and front office to make significant changes to the roster. These kinds of moves also create uncertainty regarding the team's depth and which players will make the final 53-man roster.

When examining the defense, we have a bit more confidence in identifying the players we believe are locks to make the final 53-man roster, as opposed to the offense. We have 19 guys we have identified but plenty can change during training camp.
