Sunday Bantering: Trey Yesavage To Start Tomorrow

Happy Sunday.

Oh, there is big news, Trey Yesavage will start tomorrow’s game because you can’t have enough guys in the rotation. I thought the plan was to have him in the bullpen

Trey Savage will wear #39 when he’s added to the roster. Will Robinson wore it last and Kevin Kiermaier before him. The original #39 was Dave McKay (a Canadian).

Making it to the majors, having just turned 22 at the end of July, is a big deal. The team has done well by him, and he’s obviously been everything he needs to do.

Now, if he has a rough time in his first outing (it happens sometimes) don’t overdo it on the ‘he’s not ready’ stuff. Guys get, at least, a one game mulligan.

Today’s lineup. Davis hitting second. And Loperfido gets to play after the big hit yesterday.

Vic Carapazza didn’t have a great game last night. Normally the team trailing gets the better of the calls, not so much yesterday. We didn’t need the help.
