One of the biggest needs for the Tennessee Titans heading into the NFL draft remains at wide receiver.

After fan-favorite Nick Westbrook-Ikhine left for Miami, the Titans were left thin on the outside across from Calvin Ridley. They did make a move earlier in free agency by signing Van Jefferson to a one-year deal, but they could still use an influx of talent.

On Wednesday, they addressed that position by adding another veteran wideout who brings return skills to the room.

Veteran wide receiver James Proche is leaving the Cleveland Browns and signing with the Titans on an undisclosed deal.

More of a return specialist than receiver, Proche saw action in 19 games over the past two seasons (one start), making three catches for 21 yards and returning 49 punts for an average of nine yards per return.

Originally a sixth-round selection of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2020 NFL draft, he has spent five seasons in the league and has recorded a total of 28 catches for 299 yards and has 68 career punt returns for 591 yards (8.7-yard average).

Rookie Jha’Quan Jackson won the return job out of training camp in 2024, but fumbled his way out of favor, ending the season as a healthy scratch once he was demoted. Proche coming in should make for an entertaining training camp battle.
