Tennessee Titans vs. Las Vegas Raiders: Week 6 fantasy football start/sit

The Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders face off this Sunday in Week 6 action at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Every week of the regular season gives fantasy football managers an opportunity to test their skills. Every NFL team has players who have some sort of fantasy value. It could be their defense, a running back, a wide receiver, a quarterback, or another position, but each team has someone worth rostering in fantasy.

Now, that doesn't mean every player is worth playing every week. Some guys are bye-week fill-ins, or guys who are the "best of the rest" when a player gets injured. So, when we're looking at who to start and sit in fantasy football from the Titans and Raiders game, you need to consider what options you have before deciding who to play and who to leave on the bench.

We'll take some of the guesswork out of the equation for you, though. Here are the players we think you should start or sit from the Titans and Raiders Week 6 matchup.

Start: RB Ashton Jeanty

The Titans' run defense is among the worst in the league, allowing the second-most fantasy points to running backs in the league. Rookie running back Ashton Jeanty is ranked 8th in projected points this week, and he's very capable of getting the 17 points he's projected. He's practically the entire Raiders' offense, especially if Brock Bowers doesn't play. So, even if the Raiders lose, Jeanty will still get his points.

Sit: TE Brock Bowers

Brock Bowers hasn't had a great season. His best game was in the Raiders' victory over the New England Patriots when he recorded 103 receiving yards on eight targets. He has yet to find the end zone this season, and he missed last week with a knee injury that's plagued him for weeks. Even if he gets on the field, he hasn't played well over the last four weeks, and that's unlikely to change this week.

Start: WR Calvin Ridley

Until last week, Calvin Ridley hadn't recorded more than 57 receiving yards in one game. But then something clicked on the offense that had Cam Ward lead the Titans to a comeback win. In that win, Ridley recorded 131 receiving yards on five receptions. The Raiders allow over 23 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, tied for 28th.

Sit: WR Elic Ayomanor

While Elic Ayomanor has found the end zone a couple of times this season, he is inconsistent on the field. If he's on, he has the ability to rack up some fantasy points. But with Ridley and Ward having so much success in Week 5, it's unlikely that Ayomanor's role changes. He will get some points, but not enough to warrant starting against the Raiders in Week 6.

Sleeper: Titans DST

The Titans' defense hasn't been great this season, but we saw their demeanor change in the win over the Cardinals. The Raiders' offense runs primarily through Ashton Jeanty, which means if the Titans can contain him, then they'll have made real headway toward a win. Plus, Geno Smith is throwing a ton of interceptions right now, nine in five games. Dennard Wilson's defense puts takeaways as a focal point, and while they weren't very successful at it last season, this season has been a different story. Keep an eye on the injury reports for both teams, but if the Raiders play like they have been and the Titans play like they did in the fourth quarter last week, the Titans' defense could come away with solid fantasy numbers.
