Texas A&M suffers largest loss of SEC play against No. 17 Florida
Texas A&M basketball dropped its second consecutive conference contest, as the Florida Gators secured a dominant 86-67 victory over the Aggies at Reed Arena on Saturday night.
From tipoff to the last buzzer, Florida handled Texas A&M with ease. The Aggies struggled to find their footing with inconsistent shooting and poor defense in the paint in the loss. Florida doubled Texas A&M's points in the paint (48-24), while also scoring 14 points off turnovers. Five Gators recorded double-digit points, with forward Hughes Thomas leading the way with 22 points and seven rebounds.
Now, the Aggies will look to bounce back against Missouri after back-to-back devastating losses against conference foes.

Marcus Hill and Pop Isaacs led all Aggie scorers with 17 points apiece, with graduate forward Rashaun Agee grabbing 11 boards for the Maroon and White. Texas A&M shot 30.6% from the field and 26.5 beyond the arc as a unit in the efforts, however.
Saturday's contest against the Gators is the largest margin of loss the Aggies have suffered so far in SEC play. After being picked to finish 13th in the league standings during the preseason, first-year head coach Bucky McMillan has well exceeded expectations. With an appearance in the postseason in reach, Texas A&M must shake the loss off and focus on the approaching challenge against the Tigers.
The Aggies return to Reed Arena with an opportunity at redemption against Missouri on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT. Texas A&M's 11th SEC matchup is set to be broadcast live on the SEC Network.
