Three-star wide receiver Rob Larson commits to UCLA Bruins
Another day, another commit for the UCLA Bruins. Bob Chesney added onto his phenomenal 2027 recruiting class by adding three-star wide receiver Rob Larson on Sunday.
Larson becomes UCLA’s 15th commit, and the eighth three-star recruit for the 2027 class. At 6’3” and 200 lbs, Larson gives a different body type at receiver than fellow 2027 recruit 5’9” 165 lbs Michael Farinas.
Both Farinas and Larson are California products, with Larson playing at Folsom High School where he put up 82 catches for 1,146 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior for the 14-1 Bulldogs. Even with the stellar high school production, 247 Sports has Larson as the No. 76 wide receiver in the country and as the No. 57 player in all of California.

Larson chose UCLA over offers from Big Ten rivals Wisconsin, Washington and Illinois, choosing to stay in California and join forces with Chesney and new offensive coordinator Dean Kennedy.
UCLA projects to start Leland Smith, Landon Ellis and Mikey Mathews at wideout this season but all three are seniors, creating a big need for receivers for the Bruins in 2027. While it’s hard to set anything into stone with all of the transferring that occurs in today’s game, Larson and Farinas are good building blocks for the UCLA wide receiver room.
In the announcement of Larson’s commitment, the young wideout shared a message to Rivals reporter Hayes Fawcett.
“Something special Bruin #4sUP.” Larson said.

UCLA’s 2027 recruitment class remains at No. 4 in the country following Larson’s commitment, with Chesney drastically changing the trajectory of the program in less than a half a year on the job in Westwood.
