In a game where the Morton-White Pass softball team allowed 19 walks, registered 11 errors and allowed a 10-run inning, they still found a way to secure a 21-20 triumph over Winlock on Wednesday night in White Pass.
It marked the first win of the season for MWP (1-1) and it took multiple hours for the walk-off to come. After allowing the double digit half-inning by Winlock, the T-Wolves responded with eight in the bottom half to grab the lead back.
Winlock (0-2) scored two in the sixth and tied the game in the seventh. Eight of its nine hitters drove in at least a run and scored at minimum two times, paced by Cali Geehan with three RBIs and three runs scored.
MWP's Brooklyn Montoure worked through 186 total pitches and went 4-of-6 at the dish with a double, three runs batted in and four runs scored. Siara May notched four hits and Alyssa Kampa recorded three with three RBIs.
The T-Wolves scored multiple runs in the opening five frames, including five in the second. They will take on North Beach on Thursday in another non-league game. Winlock hosts 1B Wishkah Valley, also on Thursday.
