Titans re-sign former Vol for 2026 NFL season

The Titansannounced the re-signing of long snapper Morgan Cox to a one-year contract on Monday. He played for the Vols from 2005-09 and appeared in 39 games.

Cox was named a captain with the Titans from 2023-25 and was a Pro Bowl selection in 2022. He was also named to the Pro Bowl in 2015-16 and 2019-20.

The former Vol was named a finalist for the Bart Starr Award from 2024-25, honoring those who exhibit outstanding character, integrity and leadership on and off the football field.

Cox was also named to ESPN's All Quarter Century team as a long snapper in 2025.

In the NFL, he has played in 250 career regular-season contests and 11 postseason games. Cox was the 64th player in NFL history to play in 250 games.

The 2026 NFL season will mark the first for Tennessee under head coach Robert Saleh. He is the 22nd head coach in franchise history.
