Travis Etienne gives star quarterback Trevor Lawrence some advice

Trevor Lawrence finally delivered the season Jacksonville has been waiting for, and Travis Etienne thinks the next step is simple: play even freer.
In his fifth NFL season, Lawrence put together the best year of his career, shedding the inconsistency that followed him early on. He threw for 4,007 yards and 29 touchdowns while adding nine rushing scores, finishing with 38 total touchdowns — third-most in the league behind Matthew Stafford and Josh Allen.
Lawrence was at his best late in the year. Over the final five regular-season games, he caught fire, earning AFC Offensive Player of the Month honors for December and the season finale. During that stretch, he threw 13 touchdowns against just one interception while helping Jacksonville close the season on an eight-game winning streak.
Following the Jaguars’ Wild Card loss to the Bills, Etienne was asked what comes next for his longtime teammate. His answer was blunt.
“I would say the biggest thing for him is just let his n— hang, I guess. Just be cocky, stop caring what people think,” Etienne said. “Just don’t give a damn, you’re the man. Just go out there and be yourself, make plays and just play fearlessly with reckless abandon.”

The confidence paid off in a major way this season. A year after winning four games, Jacksonville finished 13–4, captured the AFC South, and returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2022. Lawrence is locked in long-term after signing a massive extension before the 2024 season, while Etienne is set to hit free agency, leaving the future of their long-running partnership uncertain.
