Tremendous 10 poll for Feb. 16-21, presented by Central Florida Behavior Health
For teams to advance in the playoffs, the star athletes usually need to play up to their ability. What happens when the star is out? Then an unsung role player needs to come through, and that's what Alyse Mercredi has done since Serenity Hardy went down with an injury. In the past six games, Mercredi has been averaging nearly double her regular-season average and led Winter Haven's come-from-behind victory.
In soccer, Victory Christian's Kinley Hunter came up with two clutch goals to help lead the upset of St. Johns Country day. Mercredi and Hunter lead this week's list of nominees for The Ledger's Tremendous 10 poll, sponsored by Central Florida Behiavioral Health Network.
In last week's poll, Lakeland's DJ Dobie edged Victory Christian's Chiara Domico in the closes battle this school year.Dobie finished with 47.5 percent of the vote, and Domico pulled in 46.2 percent.
