Tuesday Headlines: South Carolina Gameday edition

Good morning BBN!

It is gameday as the Kentucky Wildcats will face off the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia tonight. After a 0-2 week last week, this makes tonight’s game even more important for this season…including NCAA tournament ramifications.

That is why the Cats will need a a big performance from their stars tonight in Otega Oweh and Denzel Aberdeen. After carrying the team to the brink of a win in Auburn on Saturday night, this is the time of year where your best players have to shine to take keep the season alive. For Mark Pope and this staff, they will go as deep as Oweh and Aberdeen will take them.

Now that we have talked about why they need a win, let’s talk briefly what would happen with a loss. A loss tonight will then make it four in a row, and firmly place the Cats on the bubble with three difficult games remaining. Can they overcome it if it were to happen? Absolutely, but it would add another check next to numerous in what has been a forgettable season.

Let’s hope the Cats can pull off the win tonight. Go Cats!
