Coming into Week 4, Tutu Atwell had just one catch for 4 yards on the season. He was barely involved on offense despite signing a $10 million contract in the offseason, but his number was finally called on Sunday and he delivered.

With just under 2 minutes left in the game, Matthew Stafford threw deep to Atwell, who lost his defender with a nifty route to the outside and up the field. Atwell hauled it in and cruised to the end zone for an 88-yard touchdown, giving the Rams a 27-20 lead and breaking the tie with Indianapolis.

They held on to win by that exact score, making it the game-winning touchdown. It’s rare for a go-ahead touchdown to be scored from that distance that late in a game, but Atwell came through in the clutch.

It was the second-longest go-ahead touchdown pass in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime since the 1970 merger. Additionally, it was the longest go-ahead touchdown from scrimmage in the final two minutes of a game this century.

Individually, the touchdown made history for Stafford and Atwell, too.

It was the longest touchdown catch of Atwell's career and the longest touchdown pass Stafford has ever thrown, and certainly a play neither guy will ever forget.

Atwell may not be a high-volume receiver but when he gets his opportunities, he usually makes plays for the Rams.
