TV, kickoff time for Georgia football at Tennessee

The Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to play the Tennessee Volunteers in Week 3 of the 2025 college football season. The Georgia-Tennessee game will be the SEC opener for both schools.

Georgia plays Austin Peay (FCS) in Week 2 before traveling to play Tennessee. The Bulldogs opened the season with a 45-7 win over the Marshall Thundering Herd.

Quarterback Joey Aguilar, a UCLA transfer, impressed with three touchdown passes and 247 passing yards in Tennessee's 45-26 season-opening win over Syracuse. The Volunteers play East Tennessee State (FCS) in Week 2.

Last season, Georgia defeated Tennessee for an eighth consecutive time in a 31-17 home win. Later in 2024, both Georgia and Tennessee advanced to the College Football Playoff. However, both schools lost in their opening playoff game and lost their starting quarterbacks to the transfer portal. The 2025 season is a new page for both programs.

The Georgia-Tennessee game is a major test to see if both schools are contenders in the SEC and for playoff spots. ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) gives Georgia a 60% chance to win against Tennessee.
