Tyler Warren highest rated rookie TE on Madden 26

Yesterday, Madden released the ratings for the entire rookie class for the upcoming Madden 26. Penn. State fans can be very happy with the results.

While Abdul Carter is the highest rated rookie coming out of Penn State, Tyler Warren, the all-world tight end, ranks second with a 75 rating. This makes him the highest ranked rookie tight end in the entire class, beating out Colston Loveland of the Bears, who is a 73 rating. Warren was the second tight end off the board in 2025, selected 14th overall by the Indianapolis Colts. Loveland was actually the first tight end selected, going 10th to the Bears.

Some standouts amongst Warren's other statistics are a 92 overall toughness and 80 strength. These stats display the ability Warren has to be one of the most physical pass catchers on this young Colts squad. The Colts are hoping that Warren can be a regular target in the passing game because of his athleticism and it's starting to show in practice.

Overall, Warren's Madden rating, while perhaps lower than initially expected, could be a harbinger of things to come in the NFL for the young tight end. The Indianapolis Colts don't project to be a fun team anyways, whether it be in real life or in a video game. Warren's rating though, proves the potential he has to elevate this Colts squad and give them some modicum of hop for the future. Most importantly though, it gives Penn State fans someone they can get behind growing in Madden 26.
