UFC Winnipeg video: Marcio Barbosa declares title plan after one-punch debut KO

Mario Barbosa logged one of the most spectacular debuts of 2026 so far when he put Dennis Buzukja to sleep just seconds into the UFC Fight Night 273 featured prelim.

Brazil's Barbosa (18-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) winded up in an early exchange with Buzukja (12-6 MMA, 1-4 UFC) and put a clean left hook clean to the chin that immediately led to the end of the featherweight fight just 80 seconds in at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

With finishes in 17 of hi 18 career victories, the 27-year-old Barbosa said his performance against Buzukja is just a sliver of what's to come over what he hopes is a long and glamorous octagon career.

"I have visualized all of this," Barbosa told Paul Felder through an interpreter during his post-fight interview. "I'm going to be the champion of this division. With God behind me, wherever this hand goes, nobody is going to get up from it."
