Updated SEC baseball standings following opening weekend of conference play
The SEC officially started play between conference opponents this past weekend, and when looking back, what a three-day span it was.
Loaded with intriguing matchups, four different series' saw a three-game sweep take place this past weekend, while three others went to a decisive game three in order to decide who took the series win.
As for Alabama, the Crimson Tide were included in the former of those two scenarios, sweeping Texas A&M out in College Station in what was certainly an impressive showing. With the sweep, Alabama also continues what has been among the top starts to the season of any SEC team, now sitting at 20-1 overall with a 3-0 mark in SEC play.
