Cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. may have been a first-round pick had it not been for a torn ACL suffered early in the 2024 college season. Injuries have forced him to take the long journey to the NFL. He was so effective at East Carolina that some evaluators still believed he could sneak into the first round. Luckily for Dallas, the risk-reward ratio of landing a pure talent like Revel with the No. 76 pick became a reality.
The story behind Revel comes right out of a movie script, and rooting for him will come easily. His highlight reel is filled with athletic plays and shows Dallas got another player with out-of-this-world ability. Early reactions for Dallas landing the snakebitten defensive back almost universally agree that, injury aside, Dallas may have a candidate for best steal of the 2025 NFL draft.
