🔥 What a debut: Bundesliga newcomer makes instant impact for Liverpool

That’s how you make a perfect debut! Former Frankfurt player Hugo Ekitiké scored just 37 minutes into his Premier League debut for Liverpool, giving them a 1-0 lead against AFC Bournemouth.

After a pass from Alexis Mac Allister, he managed to prevail in a duel—somewhat luckily—broke through on goal, and, as usual, knew exactly how to outsmart the opposing keeper. The ball landed in the bottom right corner of the net, marking the first Premier League goal of the 2025/26 season.

If Liverpool can hold onto or even extend their lead, it would be the perfect start in England for the center forward!

Both former Leverkusen players Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong are also in the starting lineup. Whether they’ll manage to score on their debuts as well remains to be seen.
