Kentucky's Georgia Amoore is making her mark early in the 2025 women's NCAA Tournament.

The 5-foot-8 Australian point guard has been stellar for the Wildcats all season and was named to the Associated Press' second-team All-America squad for the 2024-25 season.

In the first half of the first round against Liberty, Amoore scored 23 points.

What is the women's NCAA Tournament scoring record?

Her hot start begs the question: What's the NCAA Tournament record for points, and does Amoore have a chance to break it?

According to NCAA.com, Drake's Lorri Bauman scored 50 points in a 1982 tournament game against Maryland, the record for most points in a tournament game.

Liberty contained Amoore in the second half, limiting her to single digits.

Amoore is close to reaching the 3-point record with six 3-pointers. Iowa's Caitlin Clark (2024), Connecticut's Kia Nurse (2017) and Purdue's Courtney Moses (2012) hold the NCAA Tournament game record with nine.
