What time do the Brewers play in the playoffs? What we know about Game 1 start time, schedule
The 2025 MLB playoffs begin today with wild-card games across the National League and American League. Milwaukee Brewers fans don't have to sweat through this round this year after the team, by virtue of holding the No. 1 seed, earned a bye into the National League Division Series.
The Brewers' first game in their NLDS is Saturday, Oct. 4 against the winner of the San Diego Padres-Chicago Cubs series. MLB hasn't announced times for the division series but, based on the TV broadcast schedule, we know it'll be one of two times.
And it's looking like it'll be an early start.
Here's what to know about when the Brewers play next:
What time do the Brewers play?
A time for the Brewers' first game of their NLDS hasn't been announced.
But the TV broadcast schedule on TBS, the home for both of the National League series, we know Game 1 will start at noon or 6 p.m.
TBS has the noon to 3:30 time slot blocked off as well as the 6 to 9:30 p.m. slot.
When do the Brewers play next?
It's not official, but signs point toward the Brewers' game potentially being the noon game.
The other team hosting an NLDS Game 1 is the Philadelphia Phillies. They'll play the winner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Cincinnati Reds wild-card series.
Could a clue to the Brewers' start time for Game 1 be coming from an NHL team in Philadelphia? The Philadelphia Flyers announced Monday, Sept. 29, that their preseason finale on Oct. 4 has been moved 2½ hours earlier, from midafternoon to early afternoon. The game is now at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time. It had been scheduled for 3 p.m.
Do the Flyers know something and not want their game to overlap with a Phillies game at night? And given the Philadelphia market, it's not a surprise that MLB would want the Phillies and potentially the Dodgers in prime time.

Do the Brewers have a game today?
No, the Brewers don't play today or during the wild-card series.
They received a bye into the NLDS thanks to having one of the top two records in the National League.
Who do the Brewers play in the playoffs?
The Brewers will play the Chicago Cubs or San Diego Padres in the National League Division Series.
The Cubs-Padres opened their three-game wild-card series Sept. 30. All of their wild-card games are being played at Wrigley Field.
