When is the NCAA baseball tournament bracket announced?

LSU baseball found out it will host a Regional in Baton Rouge for the NCAA Tournament. But when will it know its ranking and the rest of the field?

The NCAA announced the Regional hosts Monday and will reveal the entire tournament field, including the overall rankings, on Monday at 11 a.m. CT during a selection show on ESPN2.

The double-elimination Regional rounds begin May 30. Each Regional site hosts four teams and the winner will advance to Super Regionals. The tournament's top eight seeds will host Super Regionals from June 6-8 with the winner of each earning a berth in the College World Series.

LSU earned one of the top-16 seeds as expected. Following a third-place finish in the SEC regular season standings, head coach Jay Johnson anticipates his team will stay home for the second weekend as a Super Regional host.

The Tigers fell in the Chapel Hill Regional last season, suffering two losses to host North Carolina. They aim to get back to the College World Series two years removed from winning it all in 2023.
