Where Florida football landed in AP Top 25 following Week 1 win over LIU
Week 1 of the 2025 college football campaign came to a close on Monday night, which opened the door for the major polls to issue their first official rankings of the fall.
After over a three-week wait following its preseason salvo, the AP Top 25 was released based on the results of both Week 0 and Week 1, which saw the Florida Gators move up two spots to No. 13 overall after their first shutout of the Billy Napier era against the Long Island Sharks in the Swamp.
But despite the 55-0 final score, there were still a few rough spots that Billy Napier would like to clean up before facing the South Florida Bulls next weekend. Nonetheless, that did not appear to faze the Associated Press voters.
