Where is Florida baseball in the national rankings?

Florida baseball went 2-1 after winning its opening weekend series against UAB.

The Gators fell short on the season opener 9-7 in 10 innings, but bounced back in a doubleheader sweep. Florida responded with an 11-0 run-rule victory and then followed with a 6-1 win to clinch the series.

In the latest D1baseball.com rankings, Florida moved up one spot going from No. 13 to No. 12. The Gators stayed put at No. 12 in Perfect Game’s rankings, but Baseball America dropped UF from No. 22 to 24.

Florida will face Stetson this week for a pair of games for the midweek. The Gators travel to Deland, Fla., on Tuesday, Feb. 16 and then return to host the Hatters on Wednesday, Feb.18.

UF will then host Kennesaw State for its weekend series from Feb. 20-22.
