Where Vanderbilt ranks in college basketball polls after back-to-back losses

Vanderbilt basketball remains the highest-ranked SEC team in the latest polls after two straight losses, but the Commodores dropped out of the top 10.

As of the Jan. 19 poll releases, Vanderbilt (16-2, 3-2 SEC) was No. 14 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll and No. 15 in the AP Poll.

The Commodores came into the week undefeated but lost to Texas on the road, 80-64, and to No. 16 Florida at home, 98-94. Vanderbilt is now tied for third in the SEC, behind the Gators and Texas A&M, who are both 4-1.Analytics sites continue to like Vanderbilt better than the polls. The Commodores are No. 13 in the NET, No. 12 in KenPom and No. 7 in Torvik.
