Hendrix Hart, the son of entertainer and actor Kevin Hart, signed with Tennessee's track and field program Thursday. This comes after the sprinter and his father took a visit to Knoxville last year.
Hendrix Hart is a senior at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California with incredible burst and breakaway speed. His personal bests include 10.68 seconds in the 100 meters and 21.35 in the 200, plus a win at the Great Southwest Indoor Classic and silver at the 2025 CIF Southern Section Finals. He also ran the 300-meter dash in 34.38 seconds this year, which ranked second in California and 86th in the nation, according to On3.
“Proud of you son…. The sky is the limit!!!!!,” Kevin Hart wrote on Instagram Thursday in a post announcing his son’s commitment. “Continue to raise your personal bar…. I can’t wait to see what you do next!!!! We all love you champ …..”
Hart and his son met Vols head coach Josh Heupel before the win against ETSU. Could Hendrix be considering a future on the field at Neyland Stadium? There's a good receiver room in Knoxville, but none of them are top-100 sprinters. Seems like a dangerous thought, especially if Hart could develop into a pass-catching threat.

While Heupel isn't likely to flip Hart into a specialist, it doesn't hurt to try. The worst anybody can say is no and would make for a great storyline on Rocky Top.
