Wild Rumors Claim Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell Want to Join Aaron Rodgers' Steelers originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

Want to hear something even more zany than the Pittsburgh Steelers signing veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers? Antonio Brown wants in, also.

According to a report by MLFootball, the former Steelers' All-Pro receiver says he was contacted this offseason by Rodgers. The report claims that Brown says Rodgers wanted to know if he would come out of retirement to play with him this season.

But …

No quotes are offered to support the claim.

Call us skeptical, but ... it is Rodgers. And for that matter, it is Brown. Oh, and it is something called MLFootball. On all fronts, proceed with caution.

Let's hope Rodgers gets asked about this wild rumor Tuesday when he addresses the  Pittsburgh media after minicamp practice.

While headline-grabbing, the return of Brown is a Hail Mary. He's 36, and hasn't played in the NFL since his shirtless rant off the field for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. These days he mostly makes eye-popping claims on social media.

The Steelers, remember, traded George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys this offseason in part because of his volatile personality.

Just to make the rumor even more wild, MLFootball adds on its social media that former Steelers' running back Le'Veon Bell also wants to return to playing with Rodgers and the Steelers. A former All-Pro with the Steelers in 2014, Bell also last played in 2021 for the Buccaneers. These days he fancies himself as a professional boxer.

Last March an Ohio jury ordered Bell to pay $25 million to a female relative who claim he and his brother sexually abused her repeatedly when she was 6-7 years old.

MLFootball claims "Bell is still only 33 years old & in elite football shape." But again … no quotes to support the assertion.
