The Chicago Sky suffered their third straight loss on Tuesday night. This team had high hopes heading into the second half of the season, but they ended up getting blown out yet again by the Minnesota Lynx, 91-68.

Angel Reese did what she could for the Sky in this one, though, registering 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting, 11 rebounds, three assists, and a block in 30 minutes of action. The downside for the 23-year-old, however, is her nine turnovers in the game, which represented a significant portion of Chicago’s 21 turnovers on the evening.  

Despite her effort, Reese’s performance still wasn’t enough to help the Sky avoid another deflating defeat.

Be that as it may, Reese was still able to make WNBA history in the blowout loss. The league took to social media to announce the Sky star’s latest historic milestone.

"🚨 Angel Reese Makes HISTORY… Again! Angel Reese drops her 10th straight double-double, becoming the only player in WNBA history with multiple streaks of 10+ double-doubles.

"She currently has 11 PTS and 10 REB vs. the Lynx 🔥" the league posted on X.

Entering Tuesday’s game, Reese averaged 14.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 21 appearances this season. She is currently leading the league in rebounds by a significant margin, with A’ja Wilson averaging 9.2 boards per game at the No. 2 spot.

It’s a quick turnaround for the Sky, as they return to action on Thursday in a home game against the Seattle Storm. This should be considered a good thing for Reese and Co. as they immediately get an opportunity to make amends for Tuesday’s blowout loss.
