WNBA Reacts to Caitlin Clark’s New Wardrobe During Fever Game

WNBA Reacts to Caitlin Clark’s New Wardrobe During Fever Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The Indiana Fever and the New York Liberty went head-to-head on Saturday, marking their second matchup of the season.

The Liberty won the first meeting on May 24, 90-88. Although Caitlin Clark finished that game, she suffered a left quadriceps strain at one point during it and hadn’t played since. She returned to the court Saturday after missing the last five games.

The Fever had been eager to get her back in the lineup, going 2-3 in her absence. In the four games she played before Saturday, she averaged 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 9.3 assists.

She also returned with a new addition to her wardrobe. Clark debuted the Nike Kobe 6 Protro PE “The Bellas.” While she’s worn Kobe 6s in the past, Saturday marked the first time she laced up that specific colorway, named in honor of her dog, Bella.

The WNBA took to social media to share a look at her wearing them in warmups.

"Caitlin Clark's kicks of the day," the league wrote.

Clark signed a deal with Nike in April 2024 worth $28 million over eight years. It includes her own logo and signature shoe, both of which have yet to be released.

In the meantime, the Clark-designed Kobes have been a hot commodity. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso wore a different colorway during Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Even Clark’s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, chimed in and asked for a pair from Nike.

"Where are mine at @nike," he wrote in the comment section of an Instagram post.
