The qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup (Africa Zone) will continue in October with matches scheduled for the 9th and 10th rounds of the group stage.

Group I update

Ghana sits atop Group I with 19 points. The Black Stars have secured six victories, one draw, and suffered just a single defeat.

Ghana qualification

- Four points would be enough for Ghana to secure their ticket to the 2026 World Cup.

- Two points could suffice if results elsewhere go their way.

Madagascar qualification

- Six points, coupled with two Ghana slip-ups.

Comoros qualification

- Six points, with two Ghana slip-ups and one Madagascar setback.
