WR Javon Baker makes admission on Patriots after being cut three times

Javon Baker has been at two different stops since being cut by the New England Patriots at last year's training camp. The former fourth-round draft pick has been around the league long enough in a short time to make one realization: He misses the Patriots.

There was an initial belief that the Patriots would consider bringing him back on the practice squad, but he ended up signing with the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad last August. After being released by the Eagles, he eventually made his way onto the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad late in the season.

He never saw playing time with either team.

"I miss yall in Foxborough man I ain't gone lie now that I look back at it yall fans is crazy I fw it tho," Baker posted in an Instagram story.

There has been a longstanding belief that Baker has plenty of untapped potential that hasn't shown up consistently enough on the NFL football field.

Patriots coach Mike Vrabel even tried working him in on special teams during training camp last year. At only 24 years old, this isn't necessarily the end for Baker, who remains a free agent after being cut by the 49ers.

There's still time for him to turn it around.
