2025 Arizona Cardinals training camp roster preview: WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.

This focuses on receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

Marvin Harrison Jr. background, 2024 season

Harrison was the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft out of Ohio State. He was expected to be impactful from the jump.

He didn't have the rookie season many expected but it was productive and the second-best rookie receiver season in franchise history. He had 62 receptions for 885 yards, the second-highest yardage total by a rookie in team history, and eight touchdown receptions, tied for the most by a rookie in team history.

Marvin Harrison Jr. 2025 contract details, cap hit

Harrison enters Year 2 of his four-year fully guaranteed $35.4 million contract with a team fifth-year option.

He is due $960,000 in salary and a training camp roster bonus of more than $1.4 million, a total of more than $2.4 million in cash this year. His cap hit in 2025 will be more than $8 million, as it includes a signing bonus proration of more than $5.6 million.

Questions he faces, roster outlook

Harrison is a lock for the roster and the starting lineup. He is their No. 1 receiver and is expected to have a big year.

The questions he faces are whether or not he can make that big Year 2 jump. He is bigger physically and has had more time to work with quarterback Kyler Murray. Can he become the alpha receiver?

His work ethic and talent make it seem likely that will happen.
