2026 NFL draft: What is the Tennessee Titans' first-round pick worth?

The Tennessee Titans' regular season has come to an end, and after finishing 3-14, they are scheduled to pick fourth in the 2026 NFL Draft.

With so many needs, Tennessee could stand pat and add an impact player to its razor-thin roster. The Titans have significant needs at quarterback, edge, and wide receiver, and, incredibly, this draft offers enough talent at those positions that Tennessee should be able to secure additional draft capital and still land a talented playmaker.

If general manager Mike Borgonzi did decide to move down a few spots, what kind of value could he receive for that fourth pick?

Three different draft value charts are often used to calculate the type of return teams can get for their slot: the Rich Hill model, the Fitzgerald-Spielberger, and the classic Jimmy Johnson chart, and all assign different point values to each slot in the draft.

In looking at each of those, the fourth pick would be worth 491 points (Rich Hill), 2297 points (Fitzgerald-Spielberger), and 1800 points (Jimmy Johnson), giving teams that may want to jump into that slot an idea of the value they would have to meet.

As an example, we will use the Kansas City Chiefs, who currently hold the ninth pick. If the Chiefs wanted to move up to the fourth spot, they would have to offer compensation equal to those numbers.

Rich Hill model

Using the Rich Hill model, they would likely have to offer their ninth-overall pick (387 points), their third-round pick (64 points), their fourth-round pick (21 points), and a Day 3 pick to be in the ballpark.

Fitzgerald-Spielberger model

The Fitzgerald-Spielberger model would be a little different. Using this chart, the Titans’ pick would be worth 2297 points. Once again, using the Chiefs, they would have to offer their ninth pick (1887 points), only their second fifth-round pick (360 points), and potentially a future late-round pick to meet the total needed.

Jimmy Johnson chart

The final comparison using the Jimmy Johnson chart also has different results. The Titans’ fourth pick would be worth 1800 points in this chart. For Kansas City to jump from nine to four, the Chiefs would have to give up their ninth pick (1350 points), and their second-round pick (500 points), and the Titans would have to send a Day 3 pick back to Kansas City.

In either scenario, the Titans would gain some valuable draft capital for moving down a few spots and potentially still land a playmaker.
