Long story short: this is the best player available and the Kansas City Chiefs sniped Ohio State safety Caleb Downs from me at at No. 9 in the BGN community mock draft.
Honestly, I was surprised to see Mauigoa still on the board at No. 10. Given Joe Burrow’s injury history and the Bengals’ consistently shaky offensive line, investing in the trenches with a player like this just makes sense. I get that their defense is in rough shape, especially after losing Trey Hendrickson in free agency, but Mauigoa isn’t your typical prospect.
He’s a versatile lineman who can play right tackle, right guard, and even kick over to left tackle if needed. That kind of flexibility is incredibly valuable, especially for a team trying to stabilize their line in the long term.
