Amon-Ra St. Brown tells Kevin Hart why Lions should face the Eagles in 2025 season opener

Like every other team around the NFL, the Lions are bitter about Philadelphia's 40-22 win over Kansas City in Super Bowl 59.

Nick Sirianni's team exacted revenge for Super Bowl 57, and the Eagles' victory means the 2025 season will kick off at Lincoln Financial Field. Next season, Philadelphia will host the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Washington Commanders, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, Las Vegas Raiders, and Los Angeles Rams.

Detroit Pro Bowl wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has previously made it known that he wants the Lions in that game, using his team's injury woes in 2024 as an excuse for the upset loss to Washington in the divisional round.

Now, during his appearance on the premiere episode of season 11 of Kevin Hart's Cold as Balls, St. Brown again explained why Detroit should win that game.

Detroit had the best record in the NFC this season, but injuries decimated its defense, and the Washington Commanders upset them in the playoffs. The Lions lost offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to the Bears, but Dan Campbell's squad has the weapons to put on a fireworks show with Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Amon-Ra St. Brown. The matchup would be explosive, and the Eagles' top-ranked defense would get a formidable opponent on opening night.
