For the first time this season, Arizona men’s basketball will be without one of its key players when it plays Texas Tech on Saturday.

Dwayne Aristode is out against the Red Raiders, according to the injury report shared by the Big 12 Conference. Aristode played eight minutes against Kansas on Monday night, with three minutes coming in the second half.

Aristode’s eight minutes played were his fewest since the season opener vs. Florida.

Aristode is averaging 4.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists.

The Wildcats are one of the least-injury prone teams in the country. Until now, Arizona has had its full eight-man rotation available for every game.

Without Aristode, Arizona guard Anthony Dell’Orso will likely see more minutes Saturday. Dell’Orso played 12 minutes Monday against Kansas, scoring three points.

Texas Tech will be without freshman LaTrell Hoover, who has not played this season.

Tip-off is set for 4:30 p.m. MST on ESPN.
