Ayesha Curry’s Simple Reaction to Warriors Eliminating Rockets on Sunday
The Golden State Warriors fought tooth and nail against the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs, and they're now moving on to the Western Conference semifinals.
They won Game 7 on Sunday by a final score of 103-89, which ended a low-scoring grinder of a series. Now they can take another step toward what could be the fifth NBA championship of the Stephen Curry era when they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the next round.
Curry helped lead the way, as usual, versus Houston, and his wife Ayesha reposted a tweet from the Warriors organization on her Instagram account.
Stephen Curry didn't have a big scoring performance in Game 7, as he put up a mediocre (by his standards) 22 points. But he pulled down 10 rebounds, dished off seven assists and even had two blocked shots and two steals.
After making just one of his seven shot attempts in the first half, he went 7-of-9 from the field and scored 19 points in the second half as the Warriors withstood a Houston rally and pulled away.
Guard Buddy Hield was a flamethrower for them in this game. He scored a season-high 33 points and hit 12 of his 15 field-goal attempts while going a scorching 9-of-11 from 3-point range.
Jimmy Butler, the man who turned the Warriors' season around, also gave them 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
The team finished the regular season 23-8 once Butler, a six-time All-Star, made his debut with it in February, and many felt his arrival made Golden State a legitimate championship contender once again.
