Bayern Munich’s attack, thanks to the trio of Harry Kane, Luis Díaz and Michael Olise, has been grabbing all the headlines. Add a fully fit Jamal Musiala to the mix and you’ll hear defenders’ teeth clattering before their boots hit the pitch. However, fully fit is the key phrase here.

Since his return, Musiala has racked up a total of eight appearances across all competitions, assisting two and scoring one in the process. Three goal contributions in eight appearances may seem below par for ‘Moose’, but consider that most of those appearances came from the bench, totaling 278 minutes of game time. Three goal contributions in just over three games worth of playing time. Much better.

The 22-year-old attacker touched on his fitness in a post match interview following his side’s 3-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

“I feel good,” exclaimed a happy Musiala (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I need to play more and get more rhythm, but I was happy with today.”

Bayern saw a three goal lead fall to just one in the last quarter of the game. Musiala went on to touch on Bayern’s lapse of concentration, encouraging his team to learn from “what went wrong” ahead of a potential title deciding clash against Borussia Dortmund next week.

“We have to keep our energy and focus at 100%, regardless of the opponent. Now we have a week before Dortmund, we have to look at what went wrong today and learn from it,” said the German national.

Bayern did what needed to be done ahead of Der Klassiker. But against a Borussia Dortmund side who only have one Bundesliga loss to account for, enough might not suffice.
