Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke was arrested at 1:03 p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 1, and booked in Cross County, Arkansas, according to The Commercial Appeal’s Damichael Cole and Lucas Finton. He’s being held on a Civil Investigative Demand with the Cross County sheriff’s department.

Clarke is being charged with trafficking an unidentified controlled substance, possession of an unidentified controlled substance, fleeing officers in a vehicle over the speed limit, and improper passing.

The former Gonzaga Bulldog was originally out for the first 26 games of the NBA’s 2025-26 season while recovering from surgery on his right knee. He only played two games in December and then sustained a right calf strain.

The Memphis organization shut him down once again on March 24. Clarke averaged 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in his two appearances for the Grizzlies this season.
