Broncos will have an attractive draft option in national champion wide receiver

The Denver Broncos will take an extensive look at how to make the wide receiver position better in 2026 and that will include free agency and the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Broncos need to give Bo Nix some better, more consistent options to throw the football to next season. The team has a top-notch defense and could be just a couple of offensive playmakers away from winning a Super Bowl. The team's championship window is sitting wide open and it must take advantage.
Going into next season, having a wide receiver as a top need is not necessarily a good thing. Both the free-agent market and college draft lack options, so a team like the Broncos will need to be creative.
The team could take a shot at a huge trade, such as this idea here, to acquire Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals. But if George Paton and Sean Payton decide to take a more traditional approach, they could find value in the later rounds of the draft.
Broncos could take Indiana's Elijah Sarratt in the second round
One name you are going to hear a lot this draft season is that of Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver, Elijah Sarratt. His name will come up frequently in mock drafts between now and the end of April. Nick Kosmider of The Athletic has the Broncos taking him in the second round of his recent 7-round mock draft.
That is because there are only a few wide receivers worthy of first-round consideration this year, and the Broncos will likely see them all taken before they go on the clock with the No. 30 overall pick in the first round. For a team still needing a wide receiver after round one, Sarratt could be a great find.
In his three-year college career, which began at James Madison, Sarratt caught 200 passes for 2,978 yards and 31 touchdowns. His 15 touchdown catches this past season led the nation as he helped the Hoosiers win the national championship.
At 6-foot-2 and 209 pounds, Sarratt possesses great body control for his size. He has terrific hands and just shows the ability to get open to make plays. He wins the contested catch more often than not and if he catches the ball a couple of yards short of the sticks, he can fight for that extra yardage.

He is not the home-run hitter that can take the top off of a defense, but he would be a tremendous complementary piece for the Broncos.
