Cam Akers says Aaron Donald once 'saved' him in a fight with Maxx Crosby

It happened almost three years ago, but Cam Akers and Maxx Crosby are both still talking about their fight during a Rams-Raiders joint practice. Jared Verse and Trey Benson brought up their scuffle while on Crosby’s podcast recently, which caused the Raiders star to set the record straight.

Crosby says he chased Akers down from behind and knocked the ball out, which Akers didn’t like. That’s when the fight ensued, which led to players on the Rams’ sideline swarming Crosby in what turned into a massive scuffle.

Akers responded to Crosby’s comments on social media and gave his side of the story, confirming that he punched Crosby “until he like punch-grabbed me, but it had force.”

Akers’ savior that day? None other than Aaron Donald.

Crosby made it sound like he and Akers have moved on from that tussle and brushed it aside.

"He's funny. This is what happened – and I (expletive) with Cam. We talked about it after, laughed it off, whatever," he said.

It's long in the past, but obviously neither player has forgotten what went down that day in practice.
