The Vancouver Canucks have a lot of candidates to be traded before Friday's NHL trade deadline.
Not a ton of them have the winning experience of Teddy Blueger, though.
Blueger was a part of the Vegas Golden Knights team that won the Stanley Cup in 2023.
Now a pending free agent, Blueger is a logical trade candidate, listed as such by The Athletic's Chris Johnston on his latest trade board.
"Blueger is fresh off an appearance at the Milan Olympics for Latvia and has been filling the net in Vancouver since returning from a three-month absence due to a lower-body injury," Johnston writes. "While he’s more typically known for his speed and ability to take care of his own end as a defensive-minded center, the scoring surge won’t hurt his trade value. Neither will the fact that Blueger won a Stanley Cup with the Golden Knights in 2023 and is playing on an expiring contract."

Blueger's final two games before the Olympic break included a goal-assist combo and a two-assist showing.
He hasn't scored in three Canucks games since the break, though.
On the season, he has five goals and three assists in just 13 games, which would be a career-best pace if he keeps it up.
That's not his game, though, and really anyone acquiring Blueger is doing it for his experience and grit, not his scoring.
It makes sense for the Canucks to get value before him before his contract expires, for sure.
