Celtics hold off Warriors in Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis road reunion (PHOTOS)
The Boston Celtics were in a flow state for most of their Thursday night showdown with the Golden State Warriors. They tallied a season-high 36 assists, scored 74 points in the first half, and led by as many as 34 points at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Then the fourth quarter happened, and the C's saw their advantage dwindle all the way down to 11 points due to some avoidable turnovers and uncharacteristic misses. The lead never fell below that for the rest of the contest though, as the Celtics held on to win 121-110, improving to 36-19 on the season.

Celtics star Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston (as he's done for the majority of the 2025-26 campaign), recording his third triple-double of the season with 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists. With star guard Stephen Curry sidelined because of a knee injury, the Warriors looked helpless on offense at times.
They used a balance attack to stay afloat down the stretch, yet Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard helped sink the Dubs with a game-high 26 points off the bench to go along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Like several games this season, Thursday was also a reunion for the Celtics. They squared off with veteran center Al Horford and big man Kristaps Porzingis, who both won a title with the C's in 2024 before taking different paths to the Warriors. Horford struggled offensively — notching just 5 points on 20% shooting — while Porzingis had a promising Warriors debut, scoring 12 points in 17 minutes in his first game since Jan. 7.
Before the Celtics head south to take on the rival Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night, let's look at the best photos from Boston's double-digit win over Golden State.
