Clemson offensive lineman Rowan Byrne enters the transfer portal
Clemson is losing another player to the NCAA transfer portal, this time along the offensive line.
Offensive lineman Rowan Byrne has entered the portal after one season with the Tigers. Byrne appeared in just one game during his true freshman year, logging two snaps against Furman on Nov. 22 in his college debut.
The 6-foot-5, 295-pound guard enrolled at Clemson last January and will have four years of eligibility remaining as he looks for a new opportunity elsewhere.
Byrne arrived in Clemson as a highly regarded prospect out of Bronxville, New York. He was ranked as the top player in the state by Rivals, earned four-star status, and was listed as one of the top guard prospects in the 2025 recruiting class. He was also a multi-time all-league, all-county, and all-state selection at Iona Prep.
