Colorado favored for elite 2027 QB prospect as decision day nears
Colorado might have found its quarterback of the future in Tennessee four-star quarterback Andre Adams. Adams will announce his college decision on Tuesday, April 14, on the Rivals YouTube channel.
The blue-chip signal caller has narrowed his school list to four finalists: Virginia Tech, Colorado, Kentucky and Florida State. 247 Sports Composite ranks Adams the No. 173 overall prospect in the 2027 class, the No. 15 quarterback and the No. 8 player from his home state of Tennessee.
Adams spoke with Rivals in January, giving an intriguing answer about what he is looking for in his school.
"I want to be somewhere honest," Adams said. "Somewhere I feel like I belong. I'm a big relationships guy. How coaches talke to me, how honest they are, and how they treat me really matters."
Colorado has made a stronglate push, with Adams visiting Boulder on April 3 when he called Brennan Marion an "elite" offensive mind. That visit was followed by the highly touted quarterback deciding to postpone his commitment from April 11 to April 14. Colorado fans were quick to draw a connection to his recent visit and to speculate whether that could mean the Buffs are the frontrunners.

Fans will have their answer soon enough, but Colorado does look like the team to beat. Rivals gives Deion Sanders' program a 92.7% chance to land the star recruit, while all other teams have a less than 2% chance. A commitment from Adams would only be Colorado's second commitment in its 2027 class, joining three-star defensive back Davon Dericho.
